Continental Railroad Armchair (No. 37)
Description
Continental crossings by train served as a luxury reserved for the most wealthy. At the height of rail travel, excursions went from San Francisco to St. Louis and from Kansas City to NYC and many points in between.
People are always surprised at the comfort of the Continental Armchair.
Designed to make a strong statement in your office, this seat will be the ice breaker that derails the conversation and gives you an immediate advantage as your guest satisfies their curiosity. The seat and back are sections of rail manufactured in the earliest 1900s.
The arms and legs are made from solid oak timbers of rescued crossties (creosote-free). We've stained them by hand to give them an old world look and feel.
